What makes Alporchinhos such a special location compared to other Algarve towns?

Alporchinhos and Porches are two of the most beautiful and least-known spots in the Algarve — which is exactly why we love them. No mass tourism, no party strip — instead: wild sea cliffs, secluded little coves, and a setting that has absolutely everything. The promenade of Armação de Pêra is within walking distance, lined with beach restaurants, bars and beach bars right on the sea. The village of Porches itself is a hidden gem: charming old town, wine bars, truly excellent restaurants and the world-famous Porches Pottery. For day trips, you're perfectly positioned: Lagos, Benagil, Silves, Portimão — all within 45 minutes. A calm and relaxed base with everything within easy reach.

What is the beach right in front of the apartment like — busy or rather quiet?

Accepted Answer

Praia Vale do Olival is significantly quieter than the major Algarve beaches — no comparison to Albufeira or Armação de Pêra. In high summer there will be some activity, but without the crowds of the tourist beaches. In the shoulder and low season, you'll often have the cove entirely to yourselves. The water is crystal clear and access is directly from the complex — you don't even need to cross the road.

Is it worth staying outside the main season?

Honestly, May, June, September and October are our favourite months. Temperatures between 22–28°C, hardly any tourists, lower prices — and the sea is warm enough to swim. Those looking for peace and authenticity don't come in August. The Algarve has over 300 sunny days a year — even in November you can often have breakfast in short sleeves. Outside the season there are no queues, cheaper flights, restaurants with free tables — and BellaVita Apartment from €120/night instead of €250 in August.

Why is a direct booking cheaper than through Airbnb or Booking.com?

Every booking platform takes a cut — from you and from us. Those who book directly pay no surcharge, have a direct line to the owners and can get questions answered immediately. Payment is processed securely via Stripe — the same provider used by Airbnb, just without the fees in between.

What is there in the complex and surroundings specifically for children under 6?

Accepted Answer

Young children are in great hands with us: a separate children's pool in the complex, sandpit, trampoline, and a quiet public beach with direct private access from the complex — rarely busy, no crowds. Baby cot and high chair are available free of charge — just mention at booking. For slightly older children, Zoomarine Algarve (approx. 10 minutes, dolphin shows and water slides) and KrazyWorld Zoo near Algoz (approx. 15–20 minutes) are a real treat.

What happens if we arrive late at night — does the smart lock work then too?

Accepted Answer

Yes — the smart lock works 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Your personal access code is sent by email before arrival and is valid for the entire stay. No key, no pick-up, no coordination — you arrive whenever you want.

Is the kitchen really fully equipped — can you cook for yourselves?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The kitchen is fully equipped: hob, oven, fridge-freezer combo, dishwasher, microwave, coffee machine, kettle, toaster — and enough crockery, pots and cutlery for 4 people. For those who love food and fresh local produce: the weekly market in Lagoa is just a few minutes away — one of the finest markets in the region. Prefer eating out? Calixtos Beach Bar is 100 m away, and the village of Porches has some truly excellent restaurants.

How can I be sure that a direct booking is trustworthy and secure?

BellaVita Apartment is officially registered and inspected under AL licence No. 175799/AL with the Portuguese authorities. Payment is processed via Stripe — the same provider used by Airbnb and Booking.com. You receive a full booking confirmation by email. And behind the website are real people: Marcello and Dario Nicolosi, reachable by phone and WhatsApp.

How many people can stay in the apartment — and what about babies?

Accepted Answer

The apartment accommodates a maximum of 4 people: 2 adults in the bedroom (king-size bed 180×200 cm) and 2 more on the premium sofa bed with an Italian mattress (140×200 cm). The living room can be completely separated from the rest of the apartment by a large solid sliding door — ideal for families who need a little privacy. Additionally, one infant in a travel cot (approx. 130×70 cm) is possible — please mention at booking so we can prepare everything.
